In our country women have always been lagging behind, up till now. In the recent decades women have started to empower themselves. They have started to take control of their lives and make a difference for themselves. But, this is not the case of all the women in our country. Even today, women in our country are lagging behind in various fields. The lack of education for the girls in the rural areas has caused quite havoc.

In today’s article I would like to address the issue of the lack of knowledge of women towards their own body, mostly their reproductive system. Rural women always neglect their health and their medical condition especially when it is related to the reproductive system. The reason is not intentional. Rather, there could be plenty of reasons behind like awkwardness, medical illiteracy, no guidance and so on and so forth. Girls must be educated from a very young age about the need to be open about the problems faced by them regarding their reproductive system. India being a very conservative country lags behind in this very field because of the conservative thoughts or rural backwardness.

Today’s article is about gynaecology. Before starting anything let us get a basic idea about it. What is gynaecology exactly? Or, who is a gynaecologist? Gynaecology is the branch of medicine which deals with the functions and diseases specific to women and girls, especially those affecting the reproductive system. And, a gynaecologist is one who deals with the branch. Here, is a list of diseases that are a reason why women seek for the best doctor for gynecologist in India:

  • Abnormal uterine bleeding
  • Aenorrhea (missed periods)
  • Adhensions
  • Bladder prolapse
  • Cancer
  • Cervictis
  • Congenital abnormalities
  • DES exposure
  • Dysmenorrhea
  • Dysplasia
  • Ectopic peegnancy
  • Endometrical cyst
  • Endometritis
  • Endometerosis
  • Fibroids (uterine)
  • Genital warts
  • Hormone disorders
  • Infertility
  • Interstitial cystitis
  • Menorrhagia
  • Ovarian cyst
  • Ovarian hypofunction
  • Ovarian polyps
  • Ovarian tumors
  • Pelvic congestion syndrome
  • Pelvic pain
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome
  • PMS
  • Premenstrual dysphoric disorder
  • Salpngitis
  • Sexually transmitted diseases
  • Toxic shocki syndrome
  • Urinary tract infection
  • Uterine prolapsed
  • Vaginitis
  • Vulvitis
  • Vulvodynia

Even though there is a whole separate branch with diseases and cure completely related to women, not all can afford India best gynecology doctor. This is where the rural women go at a major loss. But this is certainly not possible on an individual level. For this we would need some help for the government. With some subsidy by the government or schemes that could reach out to the women and girls living in the rural areas would be of great help. The government should plan with the hospitals, a few medical camps for the special economic zones so that the women get treated accordingly and are also made well aware about the needs for such checkups.
