The hair transplant seems to be democratizing among male stars in recent years. But few still dare to admit it publicly since hair loss remains a sensitive subject. There are now two recognized methods for hair transplantation in men: the strip method or the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction). These techniques are somewhat expensive but the result is guaranteed. Surgeons tell you more about human hair implants.
The physiological hair loss is due to the fact that the follicles are aging. Each follicle has a cyclic activity that allows the renewal of the hair. However, at each hair cycle, the follicles become smaller and have a growth phase (anagen) which gradually becomes shorter. Also, knowing that the duration of the cycle is between 2 and 4 years for men, and 4 and 6 years for women, it is normal that physiologically men are more subject to a reduction of the hair.
Men and women can benefit from hair implant. The implant is a graft, therefore a living tissue, which is taken from a site we call a donor (usually the occipital region) to be placed on a recipient site, the area of alopecia. Currently there are 2 techniques: the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction), the most used and the strip, which still today can be indicated in some cases.
Hair implant: FUE
Do you have bald temples and want to use hair implants? So the FUE is for you. The Follicular Unit Extraction is a method that is perfect for men who are just starting to lose their hair and in whom coloring for men is not enough to hide small defects. This surgical operation is performed under local anesthesia and lasts 5 to 10 hours. The surgeon will come directly to collect hair on the back of the head using a scalp and relocate them to places where baldness is most visible. The advantage of FUE? It leaves no scars and creates little or no postoperative pain. With this technique of capillary implant, however, the result is not immediate: it takes 12 months to see complete regrowth of grafted hair.
Hair implant: the strip method
The most popular hair transplant technique in the world is FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation), also known as the strip method. Thanks to its greater coverage capacity, it is recommended for men suffering from advanced baldness. The surgical operation is again performed under local anesthesia and lasts up to 3 hours. The surgeon will come cut a strip of scalp on the back of the skull, where the hair is the most abundant, 2 cm high and 25 cm wide. He will then recover the grafts that contain from one to four hairs and reimplant them in the bald area. It is thus possible to root 3000 to 5000 hairs in one go.
The surgeon must then close the collection area, forming a thin scar. And this is one of the main disadvantages of this technique. The second is the pain that can occur after the procedure. Many people have admitted to having suffered a lot after their low cost hair transplant in India. With this capillary implant technique, the result is visible 8 months after the operation. Even if the human hair implant is safe, always use a recognized plastic surgeon to avoid any inconvenience.
