Social media marketing is no longer an option for businesses. It is a must.

And while you might already establish a steady customer base, using social media to market your business can help you get more sales from your existing clients in addition to obtaining new ones.

So, how can you market your business on social media?

  1. Utilize Multiple Platforms

We are on Facebook.

This is probably the most common response of small business owners when talking about their social media strategies.

That’s great. It means that you are headed in the right direction.

However, you need to know that having a profile on Facebook alone will not be enough to maximize your reach. Therefore, you will need to establish a presence on other social platforms.

According to a survey, small businesses are prominent on Facebook using it as their primary social media channel, followed by Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Snapchat.

But before you rush to creating a business profile on all platforms listed above, it is important that you understand your target audience and market.

For instance, LinkedIn can benefit B2B companies since 80 percent of leads generated by B2B companies come from this platform.

Now, if you are targeting the Generation Z as your audience, then consider going to Snapchat. This is because 71 percent of Gen Z uses this social platform at least 6 times a day with over half of this population using it over 11 times each day.

  1. Posting Contents Daily

Now that you have profiles on multiple platforms, the next step is to make sure that these accounts are active. If a user stumbled upon one of your profile and the most recent post from weeks ago, they are not going to follow you. What’s the use of following a brand that does not stay updated?

In addition, think about all the users that are already following your business profile. These users will not voluntarily navigate to your profile to see what you’re up to.

No. You will need to post new content in order for you to appear on their timelines and feed. According to a survey, only half of the small businesses post content on a daily basis. This is actually a great opportunity for you to stand out from your competitors.

If your competitor is only posting once a week or several times a month, it can be easier for you to make a lasting impression on your followers if you post every day. Because, every time you post a new content, you are reminding your followers that your business exists and is active.

So, when they want or need whatever it is you are offering, they will immediately think of your company.

If you do not have the time to post content on a daily basis, you can consider hiring an agency like the LosFamos Instagram marketing agency to do the hard work for you.

  1. Partner With Influencers

Social influencers can help increase your social media presence with little effort. And while most people think of celebrities and athletes, they certainly won’t fit your budget.

Fortunately, you don’t have to partner with popular celebrities and spend too much to promote your business. You can find micro-influencers who are much more efficient than celebrities and have a better-targeted audience reach.

Although they do not have millions of followers, they still have a few thousands of followers who might be interested in your products they can promote. Micro-influencers are still considered an authority in their niche, thus, people following them are more likely to follow you and convert as loyal customers.
